What we did
Worn front steps and railings were scraped, primed and painted in a two-tone finish — bright white railings and risers with deep red porch-paint treads — for a sharp first impression.
Foot traffic and snow shovels had worn the old paint down to bare wood on the treads. We scraped and sanded everything, primed the bare spots and used a porch & floor enamel made for traffic and weather.
The railings and risers got two coats of exterior white, with every line between the two colors cut in by hand.
